One of you does what people do on their own, and the other only watches.

How to do it

Put a chair where it can be seen from the bed, and agree that whoever sits in it does not get up, does not join in and does not give instructions.

Whoever is being watched does exactly what they would do alone, with the light on. That is the whole difficulty and the whole point.

Swap the week after, so that neither of you is always the one being looked at.

Look after each other

Being looked at is far harder than looking. If the person in the chair laughs from nerves it lands as a verdict — so agree in advance that nothing is said until it is over.
