One of you touches yourself. The other may look, and not touch.
How to do it

Put a chair at the far end of the room. Whoever is watching sits there and stays there.

Whoever is being watched goes all the way through it, without checking part way whether this is all right. It was agreed beforehand, which is why nobody has to ask.

Swap on a different evening, not the same one. They are two separate things and should not compete.

The one watching says nothing unless asked to. A well-meant “that looks good” at the wrong moment makes the rest impossible.
